Flickering background windows through active windows

Hello,

I just bought object desktop and installed windowblinds 4.90c with Kol's Vista XP. Transparency works fine, but I have a problem with inactive windows in the background flickering through when for example I refresh the page in internet explorer (which is the active window at that time). Does anybody has the same problem?

Please try updating Windowblinds5 Beta to the latest version, 4.90d[b].002. Which version of Windows (including service packs) are you running?

Which version are your video drivers? What other programs are you running? (does this happen when only two windows are opened)?

I haven't come across or heard of this issue yet myself, but I know that outdated video drivers can cause all types of display issues.

Hi Mike,

I'm using the latest nvidia drivers 78.01. I didn't have any problems with 4.6 skins. It has something to do with the transparent window borders.
When I start xp and I open windows explorer and then I open internet explorer on top, I have the problem. I can see for a second the borders of the windows explorer when I reload a page in internet explorer or browse to a fresh new page. It's kinda annoying. I only have this problem with refreshing/reloading web pages.
I do not have other programs running at start-up besides zonealarm, rightclick and lclock. Thanx for the help,

Rockhunter

P.S: the problems still exists with the latest windowblinds build of October 14th

Have you tried enabling the "Never use per pixel borders on a skin" option found under the "Troubleshooting" section of the Windowblinds Configuration window? It might be possible that your videocard is reporting having Per Pixel ability when, in fact, it does not support it.

Let me know if this resolves the problem.

Yeah, this solves the problem indeed. Does this mean I won't be enjoying transparent borders on a skin with my current video card?

I've tried absolutely everything. Latest drivers, turning off the pixels, not skinning certain apps, different skins - it still flickers like crazy.

Anatis you need to start your own thread and be more specific as to what is wrong. You should also open the Window Blinds Configuration screen click on System Information in the lower left hand corner and then post the result in your new thread.
