Problems with .tif's icon...

Every Icon Package i try to use, it's impossible to use the tif icon for tif files. They keep the Photoshop icon. I tried many ways to change it (change the icon "manually", i associated the file other programs, etc.) but I still fail. Why??? I dont understand if it's my fault or my pc's. Please help me or as last thing I can do I will uninstall (and re-install) Photoshop. But I am trying to avoid this. Thnx.Alessandro.

You need to reset the file association. You do this in Windows Explorer, select Tools > Folder Options > File Types and scroll down to and select Gif. Then click on 'Change' and select 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer' then 'ok'.

The file association should now be taken away from Photoshop and returned to default so IconPackager can change the icon.
