CTD not caught by SmartException

While playing GC2 for the first time, I hit alt-tab to switch back to the desktop. When I hit alt-tab to switch back to GC2, I saw a small pop-up window that said "Invalid Call" (and nothing else), and the GC2 session was gone.

It's not precisely a crash; the game shuts itself down when that happens. You can run in a fullscreen window and you can still do things like edge scrolling, but you won't have a problem using Alt-Tab.
