Memory usage on Desktop X

Is desktop X suppose to use 30 megs of ram? I read an article earlier and it says that it should be using about 5 megs of ram. So..whats going on??

From my personal experience it all depends on how many widgets (imported) and which ones I am running. It can easily run at 2-3 megs of RAM for me with a few widgets imported, or with abou 6-7 (that are a bit more active) it will bump up into the 15-20 range. Very reasonable if you ask me.

My current DX setup uses 30,176K according to Task Manager. This is with an entire theme loaded. It really depends on how many objects and what kind of memory they use (images, etc).
