Program needs to be bug-free

I love this program, right now the only object desktop program i use, but I think it has too many bugs right now. After the 1.05 release, a new bug appeared, where the always on top wouldn't work anymore, and icons that I recently clicked on would disappear behind any windows opened. I tried changing z-ordering settings, no difference.

Any also, the animations cause the icon to still be active in that area. You click on an object on the dock, it autohides while executing the program, but if you click anywhere in the region where the dock would appear if it weren't hidden, you would click and open whatever was in that part of the dock....can't really explain, but it basically doesn't fully hide until the animation is done. SO, an option to have NO animation, or set animation time/frequency, eg. Glow - x glows - x secs otpions.

They need to make it completely compatible with xp, getting rid of all these bugs and need to add loads more features. There are loads of threads on feature requests, some of which sound great, and are simple, like locking a dock (i think it's only available for tabbed docks? - make it for BOTH)

I appreciate how far you've gotten with this program and everything, but it seems to me like it's more like a beta than a proper release, still too many v common bugs, with flyout menus and stuff, half opaque icons, who knows. I think this program needs more focussing on right now more than any other (more so than winfx, winblinds, desktopx, cursorxp and iconpackager anyway, those work fine)

thanks

dutchaMasta,

If you right-click the dock, you will see "Lock Dragging" (which prevents dragging icons off dock accidentally) in the context menu. No further locking is really needed, because you can deselect items in "Dock Contents" and "Appearance Tweaks" categories of the dock settings dialog to create a static dock.

The "Always on top" option, which also appears in the context menu, works fine on my machine running Windows XP Pro.

I use a static dock, with Lock Dragging selected, and Magnification deselected, and "Always on bottom" enabled (though I just tested the "Always on top" after reading your post).

Just a couple of observations.

Yeah, like I said, after 1.05 that always on top bug comes in (it doesn't happen straight away, happens occasionally), so I'm using 1.05 so I don't have the lock-dragging. I tried the later version and didn't notice, thanks for informing me about that.
