What can I do with only one hand?

I was at a Tae Kwon Do tournament in NC last week. Somehow during my match I managed to break my big toe. I had to wait until we got back to Florida late the next day to go to the hospital. I had a simple visit to the doctor yesterday and mentioned that I also hurt my hand but it really wasn't that painful. Well another X-ray showed I also broke my hand. So now my hand is in a cast and I'm typing with one hand. So if you see some short responses you will know why. I gotta have this on for at least a month, so I also have to put some projects on hold also.

Ouch, hope you heal fast. You'll learn how to cope with the change till you get better.

I would like to get back into Martial Arts sometime. After I had medical problems for a couple years, I just haven't made it back into it. First I need to get back into shape. It's starting to get nice, I might try to push myself to go running and stuff.

BTW, It doesn't look like you're doing too bad with one hand. You still got the caps and .s

While in Jujitsu, my wrists were always in pain. All an attacker would need to do is touch my wrist and I would cry like a baby Funny how training toughens you long term, but short term makes you a near invalid at times.

Well firstly Get Well Soon.

Secondly stick to the Forums Island Dog,that is surely something you can try to do.

Which hand you broke,if it's your strong one then it would be difficult,if it's the weaker one then you can still try and do many things.

Hope all heals quickly.

When my son was 10 he broke both arms within 5 months (skating & bike riding)
He learned how to do alot of things with one hand. He was right handed and broke his right arm first. He's
become ambidexterous because of it. Needless to say I still don't like to see him on anything with wheels.

Buy yourself a box of swizzle straws. Helps to get to those itches.

He, He, been there, done that. I broke my right wrist (I am right-handed) just last september. I think you will be amazed how quickly you learn to use your other hand.

Get well soon!!
