Hue Changing in WindowBlinds 4.5

Screenshot of it

WindowBlinds 4.5 is nearly ready for release. One of the highlights is the new hue changing colorization system.

Just move some sliders and the colors of your skin change. Works very well.

To enable this, you have to go to the WindowBlinds config, click on colorization and then turn it to HSL coloring. I don't know if I'll ever go back to the other system.

Sounds great,

I was hoping we would be able to adjust the hue and saturation levels individually to get that color just right.

Just awaiting the official release.

This always was an excellent tool in WB config, which I've used regularly. Whoever dreamt the idea up should get a bonus.

(Well, a box of doughnuts at least.)

One question as in the past - will it also change the color of the tool bar icons as well? I've found that changing the hue of any winow blind destroys the excellent work the author has given it. Unless it is designed to be used with colorizations in mind with almost no hue to start with...ie.
I hope the changes are better and will give it a try - but I have my doubts about the true performance of such tools as in the past with the same.
Thanks Stardock for the include... I'm sure some will take good use of it as needed - maybe...?

I like the effect immensely.

I notice that the settings are applied to every skin you have so if you want to change to another default setting blind you have to go back to default and lose the custom setting. So if you want to get back to the colour you made, you have to to try and remember what you did! Is there/will there be any way to "save as" the new colour scheme? I notice if you go to "edit current skin" then the original colour comes up in the skin studio, so you can't do a "save as" from there.

This appears to be an XP-only feature. Will it be extended to the 2K version in the release build? Or subsequent builds?

Thanks,

I have just read this post and tried to do it as you have shown above, but what I have found out thanks to you that since the new release of WB In the display properties I have things missing that used to be there before like in the Appearance tab I have listed under Windows and Blinds only the XP classic no WB Button no Add or Delete button and no WB icon there either, I am currently using the Cardinal Skin. What could be a problem and what do I need to do because before the new update I have had the same display as the one you have in the screenshot? I hope you read this because it's been a while back since you have posted this. I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you very much.
