Screen Capture!

ObjectDock!

I've built nice OD+ desktop on my Laptop HP pavilion 3,4 GHz . On the top and on the right side I put nice OD icons and shoot the screen with Snagit7. I had the entire desktop nicely showed after printout but the docks on the top and right were not vissible! Can anybody tell me why?
Can anybody advise resp.has anybody experience with Snagit7?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have had issues with some screen capture programs not picking up my docks. I think a version of Snagit I tried a while back had this problem. I don't have a solution for you other than try different screen cap software. Prt Sc always works, but my screen cap proggie of choice is Hoversnap. Free and easy, Link

I tried HoverSnap in the past, and couldn't get it to work. Decided I'd try it again, and it's working.
Koasati wonders what he did wrong before ......

I just use "print screen" and paste into PSP 8. Never had a problem with that.

Me too Island Dog...... but some folks want a 'program' to make captures, and HoverSnap is the only one I've tried that will capture alpha blended images. It's simply using the Prt Scr feature, with a few added features.

I use print screen...Then paste into Infranview or Paint or PhotoStudio...Any of them will capture the shot.

Regardless of what I use... I always open the shot in paint and save it as a jpeg format, it drastically compresses the size..Usually by 1/3..

I, too, use Prt Sc. But I like being able to take multiple shots without having to paste after each one. So I fall back on Hoversnap since it is so lite, easy to use, and just saves the shots for me where I want. That is really the only advantage I see to it.

I've used the Objectdock docklet called Capture Link by DockZone and it's worked as well as I have needed.

PrtScn will capture your whole screen

Ctrl+PrtScn will capture just the window or dock in focus

Alt+V will paste the screen capture in just about every graphics program

ALT+PrtScn captures the window or dock in focus

Definatly better than any screen capture programs.

Ooops...my error ExodusCrow and Solosturm are correct!

I like to use Irfanview for doing most screenies, especially in-game, where it takes continuous shots and saves them to a designated folder (choice of formats)...It doesn't capture the alpha blended objects though.

kjay, does your keyboard come with a "F-Lock" key (usually upper-right), if so, make sure that is toggled ON, then try the CTRL+PrtScrn, and immediately go to MS Paint, or whatever your graphics program is, and paste it.
