Depends on how you look at it

All the screenshots are just a way to show off what you did to your desktop to customize it.

Depends on what you call art I guess.......... I consider Screenshots, images of your desktop.

Since art is a form of expression then screenshots would be collections of art.

Next time make it multiple choice. Those questions are easier.

A good screenshot goes a bit underrated I think. People dont appreciate the amount of work that goes into finding the perfect desktop. A lot of the times you gotta recolor and modify things to match, that should be given a little credit. The normal screenshot with a WB, wallpaper and icons is meaningless and shouldn't be considered 'art'.

It's sometimes a picture of art of sometimes artistically arranged pieces of art.

It's not because it requires a lot of time and effort that it's art. Heck, changing the breaks on my car fit those criterias, but I don't think it's art.

Art is the expression of one's self through any medium that the artist chooses. A digital artist saying that a screenshot cannot be considered art is akin to a painter saying a photo isn't art.

Is a photo of a painting art?

Personnally, I think art is a bit more than

the expression of one's self through any medium

I know some people who express themselves in some not-so-artfull manners.

In every medium there is end product that isn't art in someone's eyes, or at the very best it is bad art....

An Ansel Adams' photograph vs. Uncle Bob's pictures of his drunk buddies from his last fishing trip. A hand-crafted 60's era Ferrari vs. 70's Pinto. A 14th century cathedral vs. the local 7-11 building. The "I have a dream speech" as orated by MLK Jr. vs. anything that comes out of GW Bush's mouth. A Norman Rockwell magazine cover vs. the cover of Fantasy Biker Chick Juggs.

I don't think its art, but I do spend a great deal of time trying to put together the perfect Desktop

I find SS GUKO's screenshots https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?wp=1&sort=userrating&searchtext=SS%20GOKU&order=Descending&library=13 to be art vs. just any old PrtScn screenshot. There is a sense of composition to them

Some walls can't match WB skins & icons. Some people want exact the same screenshots. They really want everything. I consider it's an art thing. Creating desktops is art. You use your imagination. Does this make sense? Am I wrong?

I agree with you

Screenshots are a tool to show off the 'art' of the wall, skins, etc.

They are the means, not the end.

They can be pretty, or they can be ugly, but neither adjective is a prerequisite for 'art', just 'appearance'....
