Paint shop pro 9

I have never had any problems with Windowblinds with any version of Paint shop pro until I
tried version 9.
I've tried it on XP pro and Win 2000 both using current version of windowblinds and the program
is all messed up. If I unload windowblinds, it works ok. I wonder what JASC did to make it
incompatible??
Anyone else notice this??

Don't use PSP, but I noticed a few programs indeed that don't work with Windowblinds (or work but not quite right). For example Avery DesignPro won't open at all, and File Maker Pro's buttons don't work.  Also some issues with Macromedia Fireworks (for some reason, the options in the side panels are something like 30 pixels shifted - you have to click some 30 pixels below what you wnat to click on - really weird). Anyway, I have those apps in my exclusion list.

No problem with PSP9(beta) here. What exactly is "all messed up"?

What I mean by messed up is that the close, minimize, and maximize buttons at the top right of the
program window don't work, or they disappear sometimes. Also, the image window is never full size,
ie: there are always scroll bars even though "size window to image" is set. I only have problems with that one on XP. The main window problem is with both XP and on another computer with Win 2000.

It has to be something with PSP 9. I still have ver. 7 and 8 on these computers and they work fine!!
It doesn't help to not skin PSP only. I have to unload windowblinds completely. Go figure.

I am not getting rid of PSP either. It is the best program for the price for digital photography.
There are a couple of good features in VER. 9 that I would like, however I will not use it until I figure out what' happenin'. I won't get rid of Windowblinds either!

You could just, for now, exclude PSP9 from being skinned by WB
(WB config -> per application -> add setting)

I have seen the small image window with scrollbars, but it stopped doing that. Why, I don't know. What version of WindowBlinds are you running? Does it do this with all skins?

Snowy... he has said that excluding PSP doesn't help.

It's funny Koasati, The main window problem is gone for now, however the image window is now disappearing under the upper menus and toolbars when zooming out. Weird stuff! It still works ok with WB unloaded. I'm using WB ver.4.3.
I've also noticed that the scroll button changes from zoom to pan after a few minutes. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with WB though.
I think they started shipping the full PSP 9 yesterday. So it must be out of Beta, at least for upgraders.

Well... im still 'stuck' with v7 - there are a couple of nagging things i dont like about v8.
The layout reminds my too much of PhotoShop, simply cant stand it.
+ other various bits and pieces.

Don't use PSP,

I meant: I don't use PSP. It was by no means an imperative to stop using PSP.  I don't go in the "my software is better than yours" debate.  To each his own. I use mainly Photoshop and Fireworks.

WB has fun with child windows in PSP6 as well....sometimes one will capture the programs' background, ie other child windows [images] open in the same workspace....like a sectional screen capture....only way to fix it is to close the queer image and re-open.

It tends to happen on drag-resizing, etc....

I just installed version 9..running latest WB..and no problems with the program being skinned, both main window and image/child windows.

Using PSP9 here with no problems - skinned by windowblinds. The only program I have currently that I have to exclude from windowblinds is MSMoney 2005.
