Whats happening to OB?!

well, with most people using windowsxp these days, ob is kinda becoming obsolete... people no longer use ob to skin their taskbar and startmenu as windowblinds and windowsxp does it fine, and the desktop right click menu can be skined with a number of other programs out there nowadays.

OB is far from being obsolete, for me it's one of the best program launchers there is - way more adaptable and versatile than anything else. (I use OB every day and I don't use it to skin my taskbar, startmenu or my desktop righ click menu - it's uses go way beyond those gimmicks )

I would guess there aren't many new themes because alot of author's are probably waiting for OB 2 to be released - that's certainly true for myself.

also the WB's are now coming out with the start bars skinned for XP...and WB has that option to import for ob bar.. so they make the skin for the XP start bar and they dont need to make another specifically for OB....hence the slow down on uploaded OB skins.

oh... when'll 2 be released?

I was having lots of problems with DX. It's just kinda buggy, though I liked the program. My puter just isn't handling it well, cuz it's an old, old computer and I don't have the money right now to replace it. Anyway, I've switched to OB, and I love it! It's so stable, uses virtually no resources (whereas the later DX's were cranking my box to upwards of 60% CPU usage), and it can adapt to the WB skin. Like DX, you can suppress or include the task bar, etc.......

So, when is OB2 coming out? What's planned to improve it? Will it not be backward compatible? I'm an inquiring mind........
