c surf.. if a WB was made to resemble Turtle SoupII and not use any of doodles images .. i believe it would be acceptable.. (correct me if im wrong guys )....as long as its not named TurtleSoupII Mariner.. some thing like soup WB ..or maybe Turtle stew...then add in comments that it was made to accent doodles litestep theme ...

Yep...HG_E is correct....that'd be fine.

Main thing is not to use Doodle's images or skin name without hunting him down and extracting consent to do so....

Well, a little more info is needed regarding #26 et #27...
Copying is not acceptable either. Even if done from scratch, if it looks too much like another skin, it's still unaccceptable. You don't have to steal a musician's tapes, if you play the same notes it's still copyright theft. But the line is grey. A slight resemblance is nonetheless OK. Using the same style, but without being an outright imitation.

I like the design of the turtle soup bottom bar. Not the colors so much as the shape. Big on the Right side and sleek. Maybe with some nice animation and some sliders. Something similar in lite step or perhaps a window blind to match that would be worth a shot.

I would like see a remake.

I am going on an investigation to find "Doodle Bug."

I know this search might take me to the far ends of the earth, but I will find him. First I must interogate anyone here at wincustomize for any knowledge you may have.

Here are the interogation questions I will need answered by anyone who has came across "Doodle Bug" or any of his work. Please aid me in any way possible by answering as many if not all of the questions below. I am sure by me posting threads on this and other sites I shall gather enough resources to track down "Doodle Bug."

1. When was the last time that you have had contact online or seen comments posted by "Doodle Bug?"

2. What links can you provide that will directly link me to any of his work?

3. Do you know of his real name or any other screen names that he went by?

4. Do you know of any e-mail addresses that he used?

5. Is there any websites or software that could aid in trying to locate someone by there screen name?

6. Is it possible to find a persons information by possibly going thru site owners, admins, ect.?

I will list more questions as my case unfolds! Anyone holding back valuable information could be found guilty of 'Depressing a whole lot of damn people who want to use his themes!'
