porting

If i ported a theme that came with a wallpaper(with permission)instead of sending the wall to everyone who asks, can i just upload it each time because I am planning to port lots of styles that come with walls by the same person, and I already have permission to port all his themes

If you're asking if you can upload a wall to the wall library, and be guaranteed it's acceptance because it belongs to a theme, the answer is no, it will have to pass moderation on it's own merits. You didn't say what kind of theme you're making, but you might consider including the wall with the theme.

I second what Koasati said. The best thing to do, in this case, is to include the wallpaper with the WindowBlinds skin. Wallpapers do not automatically pass moderation just because they are part of a theme.

Oh I know it won''t be acceptd just becuase its with the theme, I''ll just start putting them in the theme I think. It''s windowblinds themes. But each one has a wall or two with it, and I was considering uploading the more popular ones into the library. What I''m asking is if I have permission to upload the theme, and it comes with a wallpaper separate, will that permission be sufficient as permission to upload the wall?

That depends on what you asked the author permission for. If you only specified the MSStyles theme, then the wall isn't necessarily included. I would ask specifically for permission to submit the wallpapers. You're not really porting anything when you upload the wallpaper to the wallpapers library here. You're just submitting the original author's work directly without any modification at all. The author should be able to do that himself/herself.

Ask the author of the skin you are porting if you can upload his walls here separately from the skin...that's what your asking I think

Clear, precise, explicit and exact permission [bit of redundancy there] is required to be given and included with each and every wall upload.

If the wall belongs to someone else you MUST give incontrovertible proof that you have permission to upload it on his/her behalf.

Anything less will be summarily rejected,,,

That makes it alot more clear, thanks for the reply jafo and you can lock this thread if you want now, I've started including them in the wba file instead, just to be on the safe side.
