WindowBlinds & Download.com flaming!

I was able to get Download.com to remove some of the more obnoxious reviews but the down votes remain. Hence WindowBlinds has only a 66% approval rating.

Which is the part that irritates me. Basically every Stardock program on Download.com gets zinged by what is probably the same group of people who just mash everything we make. It's not exclusive to WindowBlinds (though it gets the most whacking).

DesktopX only has a 69% approval rating while the average popular approval rating is closer to 80%.

Where it becomes obvious is on freeware programs like ObjectDock which only has a 69% approval rating. Come on, it's free and works great.  Heck, Style XP, which is $20 has an 83% approval rating. Meanwhile, BootSkin has barely >50%.

Ignore them. A successful product will always attract those (losers) who hate to see anything good succeed. The problem they have is with themselves and not with us

well, I wouldn't normally get involved in this sort of thing, but after visiting the site and reading some of the more laughably negative comments I registered and voted

I thought for a moment that I was being a bit hyperbolic, but the cold facts are that the above is my true opinion, so sue me

Everyone go to every computer, library, and ip address variable you cna find and vote from each one. Lets make it 95 like some crap freeware programs from individuals. When companies make programs no one likes them but if an individual is put as the creator it is loved. People dont liek companies. Not even one run by individuals whoactually interact and work directly with their customers. To those people who hate companies like that I say Screw them! I am going to go and vote right now. I also want to tell Stardock that they might want to request removal (of torrent trackers from suprnova.org (no e in supr). Stardock and these great programs dserve better people go and vote. Register using different e-mails if you have to. It is the only way to do justice to the programs that we enjoy and love! Again to the haters I say screw you and I hope you get your fingers chopped off so you can't vote or type ever again > .To the stardock users and people who care, like me, DWatson, Tandis and others lets vote and help our favorite company get the recognition it deserves!

I've registered, confirmed...tried to log in but it keeps taking me back to the 'complete log in' page.

I'll try again tomorrow but I'm giving it a thumbs up if they ever straighten out their account log on links!

while the slandering is just the way the cards are delt, and as unfair as it may be its not really right to invite the whole community to go raid the reviews, i too will cast a vote i should have cast a long time ago when i noticed windowblinds in the cnet que.

windowblinds has been getting ripped by unfounded accusations for long enough.. by people who don't even use it, or just are loyal to people at 'you know who'. there is nothing wrong with supporting a peice of software you use religiously, and for fighting the trolls who come in here every day and harass the community. sad as it is, people judge a book by its cover.. i read cnet reviews before i download all software.. and its not right that many of these negative reviews are obviously unfounded. there are some solid ones, i see a few honest ones. but it deserves a better rating then what it was.

I don't use it 'religiously' but it's a wonderful diversion when I decide to straighten out my head with a little color and artistry....I don't watch star trek every day either but that doesn't mean I'm not a diehard fan and supporter!

I am very impressed with the community right now. I checked averything out and the positive comments are endless. Congrats to everyone that stepped up. You should all be proud.

Yes fuzzy there is. It seems to have picked up around here since IR Brainiac returned. Remember to blame him when things go sour around here too.

WinC is definately perking up and the people are pulling together to solve problems. This is cool!

I couldn't believe some of the incoherant babble that was spewed on that site. Windowblinds is great. I am trying to log in myself but I'm having a few problems with it. I remember having to register there at one time before. Wait until they see my review.

That wouldn't be right either UpsideDownGC. Because they do it doesn't mean we should.

Cursor XP actually has good reviews....although I doubt it's a conspiracy against Stardock, I get pretty annoyed by the people who have negative reviews of the product.

I mean, it doesn't slow down my PC at all...although I've never tried or would dream of uninstalling it (They say uninstalling messes up your computer)
