Blacked Out Menus in WindowBlinds?

Can someone explain how to fix blacked out menu's in WindowBlinds? I have several instances where I open a window and cannot see any of the text unless it is an active link which lights up when scrolled over. One example is in Windows Media player. When I go to edit a playlist I cannot see any of the music titles because the background is blacked out. The only thing I can see is the WMP icons. Another example has to do with an MSN panel/menu, in which when I am on my MSN home page and click the "close button at the top right of the screen...a panel pops up asking if I want to do this (I know this because I saw it before using WB), but everything is blacked out.

Which skin are you using? Some skins use dark graphics when some aspects of Windows, some texts, remain unchanged i.e. black, which makes them difficult to see.

Does it do this on only one skin or many? If you could post a screenshot that would be helpful.

This happened one time to me after upgrading to a new version of WindowBlinds. I re-booted again and everything was back to normal.

So far I have noticed this with the Colony skin and the UniverseMetal skin, I have tested several others just to see if it was just those skins but the same thing happened. But there is one skin it didn't happen with..the WindowsXP skin. Upgraded..rebooted... none of that changed anything. I will go take some screen shots so you can see it. Also talked to stardock and there does seem to be a problem with this and they are also looking into it.

Yes, I would like to see the screenshots.

Click on my username for a screenshot. You can see the menu on the left is blacked out and should be white as is the one on the right.

Looks like WB isn't painting the window background correctly. Maybe the skin has been left at default instead of a colour being applied. You can check that if you have SkinStudio. I don't have it here (at work) but from memory it's under miscellaneous>colours.

I think webgizmos has found a bug in windowblinds. That background seems to stay black on every skin that I've seen so far. I'm using Airlock WB at the moment and the letters are not black, so I guess those can be changed. I think the problem is the background.

Funny thing is...in previous WB''s the panel that pops up when you click on the close button on MSN''s homepage was black in most other skins, but now it''s fine in the UniverseMetal skin and the blackout is in Windows Media Player...I swear I can''t win...

Oh...and thanks Fuzzy...I''ll check that out and see if I can maybe correct it.

I checked webgizmos. There is nothing really that defines that color except windows background color. And, in most skins it is white. Still however that background stays black.

Thanks Chas...I took a look as well and couldn't really find anything that seemed to affect it. I made a few changes and saved them...tried them out...but nothing changed. I think I'll have to send Paul Boyer a note about it and see what he can come up with.
