Configure Fences appears twice

After Windows (10 22H2) startup, the "Configure Fences" option appears twice in the desktop context menu when it is opened for the first time. On subsequent openings of the context menu, the duplicate entry disappears and only a single "Configure Fences" option remains.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start Windows.

  2. Right-click on the desktop to open the context menu.

  3. Observe that "Configure Fences" appears twice.

  4. Close the context menu and open it again — only one "Configure Fences" option is shown.

 

Additional Details:

  • Performed a clean installation of Fences 6.02 to rule out remnants of older versions.

  • The issue persists even after a clean install.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more information.

  1. Windows 10 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Fences full version numbers.
  3. Does any of the two Configure Fences fail to open Fences Configuration Windows when click on? If, yes, what error popup appear?

Windows 10 22H2 (19045.6456)

Fences 6.0.2.3

Both of them open Fences configuration without any error.

This likely stems from how we had to make right-click context work for Windows 11 (which is different).
