Win 11 Taskbar Widget

Newest Start11 and Win11 version. Taskbar widget (with weather and news) doesn't appear when left-justified Start bar (I think experimental) is chosen. Happened in previous Start11 version too. Sometimes the widget could be made to "stick" by restarting Explorer and clicking the widget (where widget briefly appears), but disappears again when taskbar settles. Also, toggling Widgets in Personalization/Taskbar seemingly does nothing.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Windows 11 24H2 (OS Build 26100.6725) and Start11v2 2.55.

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue, we need more information.

  1. Windows 11 full OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Start11 enhance taskbar turn on or off?
  4. Do you have any other application add or change something on your taskbar.

Thank you,
Basj,

Minor mistake: the Start menu is center justified, with the actual Start menu icon on the left. The widget should appear on the right, just to the left of the tray.

Moreover, the problem is somewhat intermittent. Most of the time the widget menu doesn't appear, but sometimes it does on reboot.

Apart from the workaround described above (Explorer restart), I haven't been able to fix the issue.

Toggling "Enhance the taskbar" re-enables the widget, but then doesn't always keep the widget when toggling back on. Perhaps just toggling back and forth can reproduce it, as it has for me.

Nothing else to my knowledge is configured to edit the taskbar.

Win version: 24h2 26100.6725

Start11 version: 2.55 business edition

Tested with Left start button and center taskbar buttons. Still can not reproduce your issue.
