Exactly how much space does START 11 update need?

Just tried to update START 11.

When the update tried to install I'm told that the minimum system requirements were not met.

I'm using Windows 11 Pro, have 84GB of free space available.

What's going on?

How do I update it?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Makes me wonder why START 11 has a "Check now..." button when it doesn't do the job.

I wonder what else in START 11 isn't working the way it should.

Seriously if START 11 was freeware or shareware I would be more tolerant, I shouldn't have to uninstall, download the latest version, re-install.

I was considering buying FENCES but sadly I have no confidence in this company's products.

Actually, it does not need to uninstall/reinstall steps. Normal installation over show work. But, in some situation uninstall/reinstall is recommended. Not sure why it don't work in your system.

It sounds like some sort of download corruption, assuming the drive with the free space is the drive Start11 installs on (Windows drive).

It does not need 84GB to install.

That is actually a good test.  If you try to install the trial for Fences, do you get the same notice?

I have no intention of installing the trial for Fences or any other software from Stardock.

I'll post you a screenshot when the next update becomes available.

I had no trouble installing the file linked to my account over the top of the old one. 

I now have version 2.55 running.
