Fix the slowness and low FPS in Fences with a large number of icons on laptops with 2 GPUs that do not have a mux switch (including specifically the rollup thing)

The laptop is HP Omen 15 en1000nx

AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX

RTX 3070 Laptop

Windows 11 23H2

OS build 22631.5624

When using Fences 6 on the desktop, it feels slow and clunky, and feels like a low FPS app when hovering on the fences and using the app, and it restarted Windows Explorer twice when trying to open a folder from a fence

Please fix this

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you have dual GPU system, perhaps you can use the GPU configuration, such as Nvidia configuration to use the higher end GPU for Fences.

Refer here for Windows method, as for GPU method, please refer to your specific GPU brand steps.

Try it and report back.

Thank you,

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

This made it better somehow, now almost no problem with fences with a small amount of icons, but when there are a large number of icons in a single fence or when making multiple tabs, each of them has a large number of icons, there is still a performance issue with them and slowness and low FPS (now better than before), and there are problems. When creating a new folder portal, the background became black. Maybe after a restart, it goes back to normal, and when making changes, sometimes all the icons disappear until I Refresh the desktop

And another problem is sometimes, after doing a restart, I get a blue screen with Kernel Mode Heap Corruption
This only happened after installing fences 6

and thank you

File size numbers disappeared when adding this fence to taps (or after the restart), refreshing the folder fixed it

A suggestion is to make the "Switch tabs on mouseover" in Taps quicker, like once the mouse cursor gets to it, it switches, maybe make a setting for how quickly the switch is

and the Taps, sometimes it messes the icons elections up, like when organizing an icon position, it may select another icon from the taps instead of the one I want to select
