Buuuug when switching from "desktop" to "touchscreen" mode

Hi,

I had a new laptop since two days, had discovered Win 11, had hated the new Start Menu and discovered Start11 to save me.

All seemed ok, BUT when my laptop ("convertible" one) switches from normal mode to touchscreen mode, very unexpected behavior occurs :

Note sometimes the bar first appears without dancing icons but without the Start Menu icon ; then if I click on anything the Start Icon appears and the dancing begins ... :/

I've tried Windows and Start11 task-bar hidden modes, same issue with both modes.

Laptop : HP Omnibook X Flip 14"

OS : Win 11 Family 24H2 build  26100.4351

Very annoying ... :/

You may have to change this setting when changing from desktop to laptop.

Try automatic, but you may need to set to Force touch mode device for the laptop, and then Force not touch mode device when using the desktop.

End of pelaird's quote

But my laptop is "convertible", switch automatically from normal to touchscreen mode on the fly depending the screen orientation ... I can't change manually Start11 setting every time ... :/

I try to set to "force touch mode device" instead of "automatic", and don't really see any change laptop in "normal" mode compared to Smart11 set in "no touch mode", so I could live with this setting in every situations :P. BUT in touchscreen mode, the bug is different, but a bug still exists :'(

It seems to be a conflict between Start11 and the Win11 task bar, they both seem to try to exist at the same time ....

(This observation can help to fix the issue I suppose ?)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Perhaps, installation issue, please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,
