Start 11 v2.51 Automatically change taskbar colours based on wallpaper changes - not working

Hi.  I have recently jumped over to Windows 11 23H2 and have installed Start 11 v2.51.

I have set my start menu, Windows 10 style with a png background, to recolour based on the dominant wallpaper colour.  This works fine and the start menu colour changes as my wallpaper changes.

I have an issue with the taskbar not recolouring automatically when the wallpaper changes.  I have set it to a custom png with no transparencies and can only get the colour to change if I toggle any setting.

I have set both "Use automatic colour for the taskbar" and "Override taskbar colour" to "On" but this does not change the colour automatically as the wallpaper changes, causing a colour mismatch between the taskbar and the start menu.  I feel that this may be a bug.

Additionally, I would like to have the start button automatically change colour as well, but I don't believe that there is any feature for this.  Is that true?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can recolor the custom taskbar textures to the accent color as shown on my screenshot below. Perhaps its depending on the applied texture itself.

On Start buttons, yes there is no option to recolor your Start buttons.

Thank you,

Thanks for your response.

My issue is with the automatic recolouring when my wallpaper changes.  I have my wallpaper set to change every 30 minutes.  When it changes, my start menu recolours automatically.  My taskbar remains the same.

Currently, what I am noticing is that my taskbar will recolour properly on startup but not after subsequent wallpaper changes.  I can force it to change by toggling any option in the Start11 options but that is not automatic like how the start menu operates.

Cheers.  In response to your question in the previous post, yes, that option is selected.

Thank-you for looking into this for me.

Just updated to v2.53 and it appears to be fixed.
