Always enjoyed his films...as a goodie or a baddie.

Did you read the circumstances surrounding the death? Doesn't look like natural causes.
It happens but is unusual for a spouse to pass naturally on the same morning

Mine too. Coincidentally I was in Marseilles at about the same time that was filmed ....over half a century ago ...;)

He was one of the greats, all right. He was in so many good movies. Perhaps my favorite was his role as "Little Bill" in Unforgiven.
My favorite role of his was in Bird Cage. He was a great comedic actor.

Nothing more, nothing less.RIP. One of my favorite parts he played was in Young Frankenstein. He didn't even get credit for it.
