Issue: When pressing the standard Win + Space combination, Fences do not appear above the windows. Instead, the desktop simply darkens.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. This is known issue with Fences v4 on Windows 11 24H2. Something has change in Windows that causing the issue. From what I know, users with this issue need to move to Fences v5 where the issue was resolved where some major development done on it to keep up with Windows recent release.

Will a bug fix be released for Fences 4?
Unfortunately, I can't update right now, and the functionality of version 4 fully satisfies me.

From what I know, Fences 4 has stop major development after Fences 5 Released.

I understand that this might sound quite selfish, but is there any way to fix this bug, or does Steam not allow it? I really love this product, but my financial situation is limited. If there’s any possibility to either fix the issue or find a workaround, I would be incredibly grateful!

For what I know, it is not about Steam at all. Its due to the new things that Windows 11 v24H2 introduced which causing Fences 4 lost this capability. There are two options. One is to revert back to Windows 11 v23H2, which for me, don't have any meaning full different with v24H2. or Upgrade to Fences v5. Screenshot below showing that Shows Fences v4.22 still work on Windows 11 v23H2.
