Unable to Right-Click (Modify) "Left-Hand Side Shortcuts"

Quick note: This issue began a while ago - but I hadn't inquired until now. I've upgraded to the 2.5 beta, but as the issue is not resolved, and the issue is not related to the 2.5 beta, I didn't think it appropriate to post this in that thread.

While I can right click an existing start menu / desktop shortcut and choose Pin to Start11 with no problem, I can't modify my left hand side shortcuts. I have it set up in a grid format. I'm not using any other applications that interfere with the Start menu.

There's really nothing to show - it's this simple: I right-click on a Start11 left hand side shortcut (I'm going with this title, as this is what it's called in Start11 settings) and no context menu appears. As a result, I have no way of removing a shortcut from this menu once it has been added.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not sure which right click menu you're referring. Is it this one? Refer short video below.

Thank you.

Hehe, you're getting the exact context menu that I'm NOT seeing. (The one that has "Unpin from Start11") By the way, my issue has persisted across full Windows reinstallations (with a saved config file - maybe i'm hitting a limit perhaps, or maybe it's just something corrupt being carried over in Start11 backup configs). If I start from scratch, it'll work initially, but eventually it'll get back to the same behavior.

To make sure I'm being absolutely clear here, in the GIF I'm actively trying to right-click on the icons in the grid and nothing is happening, yet you can see the context menus are opening up anywhere else I click...

Thanks for your assistance.

Please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall is done (important). Redownload latest Start11 version available for you. Install it. Reboot again immediately after installation is done. Retest and report back.

Thank you,

I followed your instructions, and so far, so good. I'll let you know if it acts up.

Quick followup: I have "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" disabled currently, as I have DisplayFusion mirroring the taskbar including System Tray on a 2nd monitor. I'm guessing they would conflict, but I know you guys are always working toward eliminating app conflicts.

DisplayFusion does a great job mirroring the System Tray, but it doesn't mirror the quick shortcuts by the start menu. Also, I like the ability to increase the size of the taskbar / icons that Start11 provides.

I'm guessing you already know whether or not the apps work together. I was previously using StartAllBack for system tray mirroring, and that didn't play nice with Start11. Anyway, any info on DisplayFusion / simultaneous taskbar customization would be appreciated.

Any chance Start11 is working on including system tray mirroring onto additional monitors? I often have a full-screen application on one display (a game, for example, and they typically default to running on the "primary" display) and need to access audio settings, etc. in the system tray

Thanks again for your help this morning - Happy New Year!

Great to hear that. As for the System tray mirroring on other monitor, I have forwarded your request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks
