Image Color

Looking for ability to decrease or increase color saturation. On other image tools it is typically a slider that will either decrease color to nothing (grayscale) or increase to maximum color. Deskscapes tends to decrease colors significantly on many of my videos. -thank you.

yes I have and could not locate a saturation-increase effect, even after trying a few combinations of the ones available. If you can point out the one that achieves this I would be grateful. -thx

From what I see there is no "Contrast" effect, you may try those other effect such as Punch/Expand Contrast etc that change the colors. But, if that don't get to what you're trying to get to. You might need to adjust the video contrast by using a video editor.

From my observation, in my system, the video play within my Media Player classics vs play by Deskscape have very similar/no change color level. Maybe try changing video codec and/or change different video setting as I mentioned on your thread here: https://forums.stardock.com/532101/get;3950423

The videos in question look normal in all media players. Only in Deskscapes is this an issue. Based on the lack of this functionality my only recourse seems to be to make a copy and edit it for deskscapes use only,

Try a combination of Punch and Overbright. It's not quite the same as increasing the saturation, but it's probably as close as you're going to get with DeskScapes.

AzDude and cyberslober are both very good with Dreams for DeskScapes. You could PM one of them, and maybe they could help. I know you can change the saturation of a video using Clipchamp, but it won't open a .dream file in it's native format.

done that (refer to reply#2) and agree that Punch/Overbright provide a small improvement, but enhance black too much.

Thank you for the video and I see the issue on my system too. This might be something similar to this thread: Its an old one but might worth to look at: https://forums.stardock.com/484314. I will need sometimes to figure it out if I can.

ok, thank you for confirming. I will not alter my system settings for this issue to resolve. I do not mind using a video editor to recover the original color output for Deskscapes use.

Also, in addition to a slider controlled 'saturate' (color increase) effect, I advise adding slider-controlled 'brightness' and 'contrast' effect.
