Start 11 Problems- V2 caused problems with desktop and start menu shortcuts

I just installed Start 11 v2.11. Now most of my start menu items will not run unless I right click and choose run as administrator, and the same is true of the same shortcuts on my desktop. Other shortcuts on the desktop, such as for documents and others, will not work at all. The same is true if I open File Explorer and try to open them from either the shortcut or by double-clicking the file itself.

 

Since Stardock support is non-existent, even though they are supposed to provide 30 days of support, can anyone help?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Technical support is done here in the forum.

On to your issue, please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall done. Retest if the issue still appear in your system.

This doesn't sound like something caused by Start11.  Is it possible you installed or updated something else recently?

No. I ran SFC/Scannow, and did a Windows in-place upgrade, and the problem persists.

I found the problem. CCleaner kept disabling services no matter how many times I enabled them. I uninstalled CCleaner and the problem went away.
