Poll: Screen Res. in Skin info...Yay?

Ok, Who are you really?

1024x768 and 1280x1024 are the standards most design to. Why? because most high res CRTs display at those default, also most LCD's also display at those res at default working up from 15 inch through 19 inch.

I will be doing some things at 1920 x 1440 and up to 2048 x 1536 in the future as I get into skinning more. My monitor happens to default to at 1920 x 1440 so I will be working at that res to begin with.

As far as your wasting time goes, that is a moot point really because unless your purchasing a premium suite, the person making the skin/theme is doing it first and foremost themselves and they probably do not run at 1600x1200.

Editing them would be a great way for you to learn how to create your own, then you could submit them at 1600 x 1200 and fill a niche

I'm not requesting others to make skins in that particular res. Just an option in the skin's infomation section of the skin's res.

Thats cool... there should be a field in the submit which is static with the submission once it is in the library. Maybe some check boxes so the person can check off the common resolutions which the wall/skin works with...

If you mean that people who upload should provide info regarding the resolution of their walls and logons, that sort of thing, I do agree. Sometimes they do, sometimes they include several resolutions and note them in their comments, sometimes they don't mention anything at all and then you have to download to find out.
