Start 11 V2.11 Just Tells me to download Start 11 V2.11

Well, Start 11 v2.11 got pushed out and V2 had been running fine. It when I installed, all running Start 11 does to open chrome to a download page and tell me to download the product again. Rinse repeat. Had to reinstall V1 as at least that works. But I did get to rebuild my menus and spend a half-hour trying to figure out why V2.11 why it won't install. Why is forum posts the only way to get support... definitely need to rethink recommending this product...

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

That fixed it. Thank you! :)

It does point to a weakness in the installer that it doesn't set its registry keys right when reinstalling and uninstall doesn't remove registry keys that shouldn't interfere. Maybe the devs could put a little more care into their installers since the registry is relatively opaque to ordinary end-users. To be generous, this shouldn't have resulted from a "download the update" pop-up. ;)

Most of the time, this happen when the user did not reboot the system immediately after the installation is done. This is needed to ensure all relevant files get replaced properly.
