Phoon, I figured it out

Finally, and it was so simple. The reason my browser would not open on DX urls was because it was not configured to recognize them. In Avant Browser Options, in the Tools menu, was a little check box that was not checked. DOH! Sheesh...... But, thanks so much for trying to help. I'm happy, cuz it was so frustrating and now it's fixed.
