Bootskin problems...

I have been experimenting with Bootskin and i understand how they all work and i will be submitting some of them soon but there is one problem that I cant seem to get rid of. The background of my progress bars always turn white. I have the same palette for both the background and the bars but they seem to have a nasty habit of "adding" a white background behind themselves. when I preview the skin inside the program it shows it working perfectly with no white background behind the bars. However when it hits the boot screen to test, the white is there. I am quite sure that I am doing something wrong. I use photoshop CS if that helps anyone.

p.s. the screen size is still 640 by 480 isnt it? because im getting a white border around the whole skin at boot-up. Its not filling up the whole screen. anyways thanks again.

I forgot which color, but one of the colors in the pallet gets used as the progress bars background (probably the first or the last one). And the size is supposed to be 640 x 480 so I don't know why you get a white border.

white border

I've seen that on other bootskins too, even if the .bmp is 640x480. and just before the computer finished booting the screen goes completely white. ChristmasTime by Mormegil does this, as an example.
