Start 11 taskbar icons disappear

I have had a number of occasion's where start 11 taskbar icons disappear. The missing icon remains active and I can see the 'brightup' on mouseover. Clicking still does the right job. An explorer restart restores things without having to sign out and in. May be connected to launching Photoshop. An aggravation only, but I thought I would report.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And need to know its full version numbers. Use Winver.exe please.
  2. Start11v1 or v2? And need its full version number too.

Does this, by any chance, happen when you change the settings from Always combine to Never combine taskbar buttons from the Windows 11 Taskbar settings panel?

Please try Start11v2.07 Beta: https://forums.stardock.com/526650. Make sure to reboot after install. Retest it and report back.

I have 'always combine' set - I will try in other settings. Problem occurred this morning straight after boot. I had only run 'Thunderbird' and 'Adobe Lightroom Classic'.  Screenshot shows missing icons

I put the beta on after the occurrence above, do I still need to de and re Install, all good so far.
