Wallpaper makers...listen up....

In the past two days just over 100 walls were submitted for approval. It's taken just over one hour to access each and post comment, with a few for immediate rejection there are now 99 pending.

Wouldn't be quite so bad if just one single person hadn't submitted about 50 of them on his own.....I've never seen so many permutations of the same old Bryce....pick a colour and he's upped it.

Some people wonder what happens in the mysterious world of submission moderation, well generally several admins will each devote time to assess each submission and formulate an opinion....until there is sufficient concensus of opinion to determine their 'fate'.

Some hit the floor from obvious transgression/s....but then others will bite the dust simply because there are just so many the same that it's downright repetitively boring.

Of those 50 I expect maybe 10 will make it.

Heck....there's 16.7 million different colours....why didn't he just up them all? I've got nothing better to do.....who 'needs' a life, anyway?....

I personally would like to see more people drawing their own pictures instead of all the bryce work

I'm sure there are some great artists out there, Mormegil for example.

oh and just make sure of the 50 different colors, the ones that you do chose to up, make sure one of em is fuschia and the other is a nice mother of pearl

bryce hasn't been recommended since forever - I believe it's in the faq. I think the idea of a daily upload limit might not be a bad thing. Perhaps Journeymen might be exempt.

Take it one step further (and this might already be for all I know) - you would need to be a registered member to be allowed to upload?

That may be true, but then you wouldn't have as many aspiring 3D modelers/artists out there, who only have access to Bryce instead of 3D Studio Max.

Problem with that is some people could make 'bad' walls just as easily with PS or PSP.

...and that is a good thing, there are 2 or so people good making stuff with bryce, and 2 or so others that actually make abstracts that I like, namely green armani. he blows me away with what he can do.

Jafo has to look at 100's of these wallpapers and I'm sure like many others it would become boring to eveluate a constant stream of the same type of pictures.

Instead of proclaiming the virtues of Bryce and 3D Max, I hope some people will listen and create some original artwork.

Yes Manny and Jim both do very well with Bryce. But what if someone was to draw and then paint say, mmm, Bratney on a Dolphin diving through a Torus with a few Solarcell flash's and maybe a, oh I don't know, a Really REALLY BIG drip of some metallic Deep Blue liquid hitting the Mercury Sea causing ripples to wash up on the shores with moldy cheese looking Mountains and a Tangerine Sky?

Oh and Maybe a Third Eye floating about in the Sky also...
