Feature Request: Ability to disable animation of tab appearing

When a tab is added in Groupy, the new tab appearing is animated, sliding up.

I find this distracting and unnecessary. Being able to disable it would be useful for Accessibility reasons.

Also, while this may just be a coincident, as you can see in the screen capture above, on my machine the top of the explorer window fails to render correctly for the duration of the animation.

Please add the ability to change the speed of this animation or to disable it altogether.

I personally have Animation effects in Windows Settings disabled for accessibility reasons:

It would be great if Groupy also allowed this, or even better if it respected this system accessibility setting.

I am using Groupy 2 Version 2.12 on Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 (build 22621.2861).

I would like to second this post. I'm coming over from qttabbar and the biggest issue is how slow and clucky creating new tabs feel.

If we had an option to drop the animation and have everything be instant it would feel a lot smoother.

The animation takes place in parallel to other things so it wouldn't actually be quicker but you are right you may perceive it as quicker.

I thought we had a registry key for this but if not I will see about getting one added.

Having a custom registry key would be a great start as a workaround here.

That said, if a user is choosing to disable Animation Effects in the OS Accessibility settings then it would just make sense that they would also want an OS extension like Groupy 2 to respect that, or at least expose a simple setting to allow the user to manually disable it.

This primary reason for my request is not performance, but it simply being distracting and undesirable.
