Kona : It is probably no good idea to post something like 'You have never heard of Wincustomize.com? The site that is 10 times better than DA IMHO?' at DA forums. You cannot compare both sites too close as they are made for different people. I too was at some point angry about DA last year, bur there are also many fine people that I didn't want to lose contact with. That is one reason I got back there. 'Don't let Your opinion be formed by a few idiots only!' was something I have learned out of this. The owners/most mods of DA are a fine bunch of people nevertheless. There are far worse sites on the net with bunches of arrogant people and 'leaders' starting with a 'd' (not 'deskmod'...)

You know, 99% of people who visit a site will go there, browse the cool shiznitz, and never think about hitting the forums and starting a pointless thread. I'm a senior member at DA, and have been a member since day *1*. I haven't taken as much part as I should, but I think it is a great site.

I wrote an item at JoeUser that pretty much sums up how my feelings toward DevArt have changed. http://bakerstreet.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=2428 Granted, I go there for the art, though. If I was gonna hang out and talk to all the other bored people with no interest in the art, I'd probably not enjoy it much. DA is great, WC is great, they are two different kinds of sites, apples and oranges.

Regardless Kona, you've been coddled here. I wouldn't expect to be treated so elsewhere. I have spent a lot of time on DevArt's forums, too, and requires skin about ten times thicker than WC.

And on topic, deviantart isn't about the forums, in the same way that here isn't. Hoewever the forums here are more mature, which I thank Jafo and the other admins for. I've been to other places where the admins flame it on.
