Edge installed applications show blank icon on taskbar

I'm fond of using the 'install this site as an app' functionality in Edge (and presumably Chrome!) When I do so, the icon on the taskbar usually appears when I launch the web-app, but as soon as I interact with the window in any way, the icon goes blank on the taskbar. This does not happen when i disable Start11s enhanced taskbar, and has been a problem for as long as I can remember using Start11. Problem exists in Start11v2 as well.

 on launch
on clicking anywhere in the window.

That's pinning Microsoft Loop - same when I pin Snapchat, Microsoft Planner, Pocket, anything.

On Start11 v2.05 now and it appears to have significantly improved. I'm now seeing the icon consistently on Pocket, Microsoft Loop and Snapchat, without having to pin the icon to the taskbar - fabulous!

I am noticing that any time I click on these web apps to do something: e.g. open an article in Pocket, or a chat thread in Snapchat, the icon on the taskbar briefly flickers - it looks to me like a refresh is happening in line as it goes to a different URL or something? If that's what's happening, ideally the icon would only need to be refreshed if it was actually changing, but don't get me wrong: this is still a massive improvement on the blank space!

Can anyone else confirm that this is working for them on 2.05?

It sounds like whats happening is the app destroys the old icon each time it changes but fails to tell the taskbar about the change.
