Ship equipment slots cut off

When using the Ship Builder, I only have a single row of equipment slots visible at the bottom of the screen. When I add more equipment items (engines, weapons, defenses etc) than there are visible slots, these the additional items are not visible and can not be selected. Are others having the same issue?
