Icons does not stay in Fences

After clicking on the icons, i.e. after opening the file or the program, they are no longer inside Fences but somewhere on the desktop. This contradicts the actual Fences function! Why? What to do?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10/11 full version numbers. Use Winver.exe
  2. Fences version.
  3. Monitor/s resolution and Scaling apply (100%, 200%, 300%)?
  4. Is the issue happen on specific files ie. Word documents etc or all and any icons?

I think it is best for you to move on to Fences V4 for current Windows 11 system.

I think that even the paid version 3.1.3.3 should run smoothly under win 11. Otherwise it is a bad supplier who does not provide an appropriate update!  That is, I will in any case not buy a new program with which I also express my dissatisfaction with Stardock!

If you wish, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I have already done all that. After all, I am not a novice. I will be able to tell you later if it works, but I have my doubts...
