Dell XPS anyone?

I did it, I took the plunge and ordered a Dell XPS pc today. It was a big debate between it and Alienware, but ultimatly the $700 discount pushed me into the Dell. So, are any of you using the XPS? I'm curious what you have heard.

Thank You...I think I will a well. I just wish it didn't take 10 days to make it. But all good things take time I guess.

Optiplex...I supported over 800 of those machines when I worked for the county school system. For that many machines...they worked real well. The only on going issue we had was the floppy drive not fitting in properly. We just slammed them in harder and never had any more problems. Funny how that stuff works.

Actually once I get enough $$$$ to build my own this Dell is going where it belongs...the scrap pile.

It is a good machine but hard to upgrade!

At work earlier this year we got new OptiPlex GX260's and I was quite pleased when I started using it. So far they seem to be doing quite well (about 500 machines more or less). Nice PC for a prefab brand name (as opposed to one custom made).

I've owned several Dell's in the past few years and have no complaints.

Kona - why did you contradict yourself?

ToeJo - I think you'll be pleased with the Dell.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200, I think its a great machine, runs well, but I will be upgrading to the Alienware in the future

RanmaSaotome.... Since you work at Dell, I have a dead cell line in the bottom third of my screen, have had it for about a year. Have contacted Dell several times about getting my screen replaced, and they have avoided it every time. Can u suggest who I should contact to get my screen replaced? I am only 1 1/2 years into my 3 year warranty...
