Powershell Error upon shutdown at Start11 install

Powershell Error upon shutdown at Start11 install

Hi - has anyone else seen the Powershell error after installing Start11.  We have tested this and when Start11 is a bunch of the machines, the error happens.  When it is removed, there is no longer an error.  We are running Windows 11 Version 10.0.22000.918] and Start11 1.25.

Any help or guidance you can give would be appreciated.

I found the solution. There is a sync magnet option inside the start11 menu, remove the checkbox and the error will not pop up.

What Sync magnet option exactly?

Google doesn't have the correct translation. I took a picture and hope you can understand it.

So this option?

Synchronize pinned items from the OS menu with Start11 (sign out required)

We has also seen the error continues after making the change mentioned.

It is probably an unrelated issue then and something else triggering a powershell window on a shutdown.

Am I correct in saying your issue specifically only happens if you shutdown / reboot via the native windows menu NOT Start11?

I did a search on this on the forums of other posts that were more involved, but this Thread seemed to be more simplistic of what I am going threw. Although I did uninstall Start11 so I do not have to have the error anymore, for now, until you tell me it is fixed in a later version.

Everytime (everytime) I shutdown, I get a popup of the Powershell error and it does close itself eventually to turn off.

When I uninstalled the program, it asked me to reboot. This time, the Powershell error popup did not come up 1 time, it popped up 2x!

So when I got back into the computer, I decided to find it in the Event Viewer for you. Hope this helps some.

Are you seeing this still with Start11 v2?  If you do not have a license for it, you can download the trial here:

I am seeing it with the latest/greatest version of Start11 v2, yes. Clean installation, fully licensed.

If you log out instead of reboot, does it still happen?

I will reinstall it and try it later on tonight.

So far the reinstall has not given me an error of the powershell error popup upon shutting down the computer. If it does, I will report the issue here again. Thank you.

So I am getting a periodically Groupy error on shutdown that it wont close, or a blank application name, but aside from that no issues on Start11 that I can see after the reinstall on November 30th.

However, I did uninstall Start11 on Dec. 10th mainly because I installed a few programs and none of them appeared as "new" programs to pin. Only saw "suggested" apps listed. So being I was in a rush and needed to get several things done, I disabled Start11 to do what I needed to do quickly, but then decided, nevermind, let me just uninstall it and move on.

Ironically, uninstalling Start11 gave me the Powershell error 2x from doing this, right after the popup asking me that I need to reboot the computer to make the changes. I did this on 2 computers, and both did the exact same thing.
