Menu becomes very slow or even unresponsive when changing icon sizes

I am using the Windows 10 layout on Windows 11.

If I don't change anything in the menu, it works fine in general with the exception of Notepad which keeps losing its icon image.

However, when I try to change an icon, the menu becomes very slow to react, sometimes freezes and even crashes, thus returning me to the basic Windows 11 menu.

In general, apart from common break-fix issues, this is an excellent product I would recommend to anyone wanting to keep Windows 10 or 7 Start menu layouts.

If the reinstall fails, we would want to get a dump from the crash with this process if you would:
