update to a new directory - will it screw thing up?

Fences 4 offers an update. The current version is installed in a different directory than the update will be installed, and no option to change the new install location. Will this be a problem or will I need to uninstall the original version, etc.?

Yes uninstall old version first and reboot.

Then install new version the default location.

Shouldn't you be able to restore from a snapshot?

 Does that not work version to version?

Update

I did uninstall the old version. I found that regardless where the .exe file is installed the snapshot is stored in a preordained directory. The new install immediatly repopulated the fences' setup as before. No problems.
