Start Menu Highlight color and transpanency Start11

I have Win11 Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

Start11 ver 1.24

I have two issues involving the start menu

1.

Is there a way to change the transparency "opacity" of the highlighted item background color?

The background highlight color of the start menu items "when hovered over or navigated via direction keys" is transparent to the point where if i navigate using my keyboard i can not tell where i am at.

2.

Is there a way to change the text color of the items in the start menu?

When i have a wall paper that is dark sometimes the text is black sometimes it is white.. is there a way to control this?

If i have a dark wallpaper and black text it is very hard to read.

Sorry if I've overlooked something thanks for the help.

And very faint orange highlight.. Sometimes it's a little bit easier to see than this but not much.

I believe those text follow your setting in Windows. If you choose Windows light mode than those text will be black. So it won't work if you use black text on dark image use on your wallpaper or custom menu background. Those black or white text is control by windows. If you need it to be white. You just need to select Windows Dark mode.

And for the second part those orange highlight color is also on Windows control. Its the Accent color. If you change to blue accent color, you will get blue selection bar. Something like screenshot below.

So there's no way to have dark/light theme on windows and change just the font color via start 11?

In regards to the highlight i can change the color via windows that's not really the issue, the problem is it's so transparent (just like in my screenshot) I can hardly see it.

Is there any way to change the transparency? do you not have this issue on your end?

I don't see the issue on my end. Here is where you can change the main menu transparency setting.

Ok so apparently i had to turn the transparency setting ON in win11 not sure why but that worked...

Also i have to have some menu transparency in start 11 for it too work. If i make the menu 100% solid it reverts back... No big deal.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
