Start 11 1.22 Start Menu doesn't work

Since I installed this a couple of days ago, clicking on the start menu does nothing, it doesn't matter which style I use, I have to disable it or use the default windows 11 menu (not the style, though). So, basically, I don't have a working Start 11.

Almost the same here: suddenly I had to disable Start11 taskbar options because the systray icons disappeared. Furthermore, the systray icons without Start11 can be dragged, with Start11 not

In Start11 if you have enhanced taskbar turned on then

try turning it off .

See if that works for you this is a known issue with

some MS versions till they release a newer version.

Your post appears to be unrelated to this post which is about nothing working at all.

However please be aware that we do not provide official support for insider builds of Windows for this reason.  They are liable to cause issues.

The non dragging of system tray icons is nothing to do with Start11 at all.  Microsoft removed that ability in dev/beta channel builds but in the most recent build they rolled back all their changes as people complained.  This new build impacted Start11 because it was updated to be aware of the new taskbar and it is now back to the original Win11 one not the newer touch aware one.

For the missing system tray on the latest insider build, this can be fixed by adding the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8

Create a new key of type REG_SZ with the Name "OldTaskbarOn11" and give it a value of 1.

Then sign out and in again.

Nope, it didn't work. I had tried it already. I tried again, now deleting the settings, but the menu still doesn't work. It does something, the active icon in the task bar gose from a long line to a short one, but the menu doesn't appear.

I can't turn it off. I click on enabled and it doesn't change, it just expands or retracts the options.

I think I will uninstall this for the time being.
