  • Fixed issue with Win+<num key> not always activating the right window depending on window visibility and monitor settings
  • Fixed issue with Win+<num key> so it does not minimize windows which are part of a group (regardless of taskbar grouping status)

Known Issues

Note: While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta/dev channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect it to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

Quoting vincentw,

When can we expect a download link?

It's in the OP

No, it isn't. I don't have anything there. The last BETAs had it listed in the OP for each one.

Depending on the product you have, it should be listed on your account page as such:

Should be but isn't. This is all I have. If I go to my orders, it is there, but no beta.

A feature request: Please make the clock area clickable on non-primary monitors.

I, and I'm sure many others, have become accustomed to clicking the clock to get the calendar to show (but not notifications on non-primary monitors).  Please return this functionality.

Thanks for all the great work lately, Stardock team.

Still seeing a scaling issue when connecting my Surface Pro 7 to my Surface Dock (which is connected to 2 1080p monitors). My taskbar is on top and set to small. On the primary display the taskbar is twice the size when docked and the scaling changes, and the secondary monitor the taskbar is sized correctly but the buttons are pushed up slightly.

Primary monitor:

Secondary monitor:

It will be a download link attached to whatever email was entered when you purchased Start 11. Also note that Beta downloads are only accessible to members you have paid for the product and are not available to those that are on a 30 day trial.

just transferring preivious thread request:

* please add option to stretch the taskbar button (or the clicking area) to the edges of taskbar so user can click easily.

My taskbar is top of screen. move mouse to topmost of screen above taskbar button cannot click the button. clicks the taskbar.

* please add option to compact the taskbar buttons - there is lots of padding on left/right of text & icon which reduce the text of title visible on screen.

Clicking the start button often opens regular windows 11 start menu. By clicking on the start button multiple time I can get the Start11 start menu. Usually happens if the start button hasn't been clicked in a while.

I am unable to reposition icons in hidden icon area of taskbar by dragging. Taskbar is not locked.

Which version of Windows 11 are you using?

PLEASE add right-click option to Close Window (rather than only Close All Windows)... at least when windows are ungrouped.

Win11 Pro Build 22581.200

That's normal for the beta/dev channel version of Windows 11 and happens without Start 11 as well.

Microsoft removed the ability to rearrange system icons and to drag them from the overflow to the taskbar.

You would need to file a bug with Microsoft using the feedback tool.

Task bar on any non-primary monitor occasionally allows windows to lie on top of it. This persists until start11 or the system is restarted.

Hi! I'm having really a good time with Start11. The only thing I really wish we could have is the possibility of using the classic program list on the windows 10 start menu style, just because the modern style of program list just ignores subfolder and just mix everything. Would be very useful for those like me who created some folder for my portable programs inside the startmenu program list. Thanks in advance

It might be there is an error when you did the purchase. Please raise a support ticket using the link below, use the product not receive option. Include all information details on your purchase there and Support will help you from there. Remember to record down the ticket number for future reference if needed. Do not raise multiple ticket since that will only confuse the system. Send once and wait. Ticket will be answer on first come first serve bases.

Is there any possibility on Windows 11 for Start11 to add back the option to always display all tray icons which MS removed? It's so frustrating to have to keep re-enabling icons when they get set back to not showing often just when the application was updated. I always show them all and have it set to two rows with Start11 set to Win10 mode.

You can already do this with a windows setting.

In the Windows run dialog (win+r) type shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9} and run that.  Then tick always show all icon and notifications on the taskbar and then sign out and in again.

Please be aware that whilst you can have two rows of icons in your current Windows 11 build, this is something Microsoft have removed from dev/beta builds.

I've already done that on 4 different Win11 machines, some on latest release others on preview release, and it does nothing when enabled
