Can't create Fences / Can't add items to existing fence

from Stardock Forums

Hello,
since the update to Fences 4 I can't add items to an existing fence anymore. Also I can't create any new fences.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please check if you have not set the Fences to Locked. Check if it is locked, please unlock it and try again. (Right click on desktop)

Hello, I checked it - the Fences aren't locked.
I locked them and unlocked again - it still doesn't work.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Hi Basj,
thank you, I followed the steps and it works now :)

But the new version is a little bit buggy compared to Fences 3 - when I activate the folding of Fences, nothing happens. I need to doubleclick on the title bar to do it. Once it is done, it works fine. And sometimes dragging with right mouse button needs two attempts to have the option to create a Fence.
All in all: It works now, I'm happy.
