I'm sure that there is a reason, Shmoopy. Some people can only care about themselves. Some people only care about money. And some people have been hurt so deeply that all they can think to do is to find some who truly loves them and hurt them back in some cruel revenge. And some people have been hurt so badly that they refuse to love again. But, there is a reason. The reason is that there is someone really wonderful in this world for you. And, if anyone would let you suffer, like it seems that you are, then they aren't the one for you. You are a very caring person, Shmoopy, I learned that a while ago. And, now I see that you are a very beautiful woman too. Any man who would throw that away is a fool. So Shmoopy, for you, there is a reason.

Shmoopy, remember the first person you ever loved? It was you. Take time to love yourself, again. That person inside you that knows everything about you and is always there no matter what.

My heart's been broken so many times that it's more like a little pile of bits than a coherent whole. True love's the hardest to deal with when it's taken away, but you just have to take a step back and put your energies into something else for a while. It's just a grieving process really. You never really stop loving, but eventually you come to terms with your loss and can begin to think about moving on.

My advice would be to go out and spend some money on pointless things for yourself and to steer clear of listening to music for a while. In your current state, even the lyrics of the worst song in the world will seem apt. It's best to devote as much time to yourself and getting your own life back on track as possible. If he wants you back, he'll come back. You can't dwell on what you did wrong, when in truth it probably wasn't anything you did which caused things to go bad.

Above all, try to keep going and spend time with your friends. You have plenty here.

Shmoopy, it does take time to heal. It is hard to find "Mr. Right" out there in this crazy world. My heart shattered into million pieces. I've been into baaaaaad relationships throughout my teenage & adult years. I hope ya find "Mr. Right." in the future. Nobody's perfect. Take care of yourself. You're a pretty girl.

Angela, if it helps any, I will tell you I lost my father at the age of 7 and to this day it hurts because we were SO close. i also lost my dearest grandma last year. I know the pain. Losing my dad hurts me so bad that I constantly screw things up to this day. What helps me is the fact and/or feeling that I know he is watching over me and is in a better place.

Hang in there girl, it will get better!

Guess I'm not so worried about finding a new love as I am sad about losing a true love...

true love? hehe
if he was your true love he'd be true and obvously he ain't if he's gone? right?
anyways, when I feel like true love, romance and fantasy I go rent a flick cuz they seem to get it right!

Angela "try" not to base your happiness on someone else or you'll be on a rollercoaster, you said you have a daughter she may not have that kind of love you're looking for but she will give you a love you can count on that is real for the time being and you got us! KISS
and listen to chickie...

My father in law has cancer. He's getting closer to... My hubby & Kyle went to his house. Soon, Grammy Judd will be a widow. I'm angry about this. Kyle & Grampa Judd were close. Now, it's almost time for to go. My heart is breaking. I'm NOT gonna say good-bye to my father in law. I'm not going to the funeral. I never say good bye when people start to die. I always say "See ya later or soon." I'm sorry to tell ya this. I'm sorry about passing away. My father in law is weak. He's dying. I can't deal with funerals. I will lost it.

Tonight, I'm gonna watch a movie - Money Pit. Movies can cheer ya up.

You people are some of the finest creatures on the planet...PERIOD.

After reading some of the heart-breaks and heart-aches that some of you have experienced... I am humbled. I feel mine is tiny and silly in comparison.

I shall take your advice to heart... Thank you for comforting me my precious sisters and bros...(((BIG HUG))) *sigh*

Good people do exist...and a good helping of them exist right here.

Life is too short to wallow about a broken heart, it's being able to pick up the pieces that makes you stronger.

Hus, China...sometimes folks find they can 'identify' somehow and feel a want to share too. Yes, it can be sad but it's good to know that people are brave enough to share some of their deepest feelings and experiences here. I think it shows just how strong of a bond many of us have here at WC. Everything can't always be hunky-dory...and while it does tug at one's tear-ducts and heart-strings to read some personal stories...it also heartens me that folks were forthcoming enough to share them...that is a very brave thing to do and to those who shared...I wish I could hug away the pain and sadness.

People own hearts and minds and souls...and when we give them freely out...there is the chance they WILL get hurt but I refuse to be a COMPLETE (hehe) shut-in and not experience some of the most glorious people of the world. Nope...not gon' do it...would't be prudent at this juncture. hehe

Shmoopy, I'm sorry if I came off harsh, but my ONLY reason for saying that was I've been there before...I can only sympathize with you. I'm still picking up the pieces.

I know Angela, I admire people that can put their heartbreaking stories into written words...I've never been able to do that. The heartbreak stories I have to tell are written on my face as I tell them.

OK, I'll do it just for you...two.

I held my moms hand when she died... I saw her beautiful face turn pale, her fingernails turn blue..the corner took forever to get there, but I didn't mind...cause she was in my arms.

Wow... China...that is sad and yet somehow so beautiful at the same time...

That intimate moment must be etched in your heart, mind and soul forever...

In a way it was a gift for you to be able to be with her in her last moments... So many people only get that dreaded 'call'...and there's no chance to even say good-bye.

and as a mom she prob could not have died in a more comfortable place... I think that was great you were there to help her on her way out China (not everybody has someone holding them when they leave)
