Windows 11 Start menu & Start button positioning?

Looks like Windows 11 but acts like Windows 10.

Hi, I am using Start 11 v.90 on a Windows 10 Pro v 21H1 computer and I have a question. I am trying out the Windows 11 style and something is just not right. I have selected "position the taskbar buttons in the centre of the taskbar" and I would assume the Start button would be beside the other buttons and the Start menu would open close to the centre of the taskbar, just like in Windows 11. What I get is both the start button and the start menu are stuck on the left side of the taskbar (see image below).

Am I doing something incorrectly, expecting too much for it to act like Windows 11, or is there something wrong with Start 11? Please let me know. Thank you. Steve

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. That is correct behavior of Start11 on Windows 10 system. To have both the Start button and the taskbar icons in the center, you will need to upgrade to Windows 11. I believe, there were few requests by other users to have it in Windows 10 too.

Anyway, I have forward your request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks

Thanks

That is disappointing, a Win 11 themed Start menu should look "AND ACT", like a Win 11 Start menu.

When the menu is unpinned, I can make it thicker to 3 rows. This gives me room to add bits and bobs that I use. Does Start 11 do the same.

The closest thread I could find, if it's wrong, sorry.

Hello, I recently purchased the full version of start 11 today as i thought the non center alligning on windows 10 was a limitation of the trial but it is still not center alligning despite me telling it to. This is a massive dissappointment as the website images do show and say "have a center alligned start linke on windows 11 in windows 10"

I have tried uninstalling - reinstalling and getting a fresh download from my account after purchase for a new fresh install and nothing has worked.

Are you using Stardock Curtains?

There is a bug in that which hopefully will be addressed in the next week which should allow them to work together with that feature.
