New icons arranging in wrong General Desktop

I have multiple monitor and almost all new icons are going to wrong monitor. I tried everything whatever I found in Google and in this forum, but nothing helped.

I tried full uninstall (with purge bat file) as well.

I know about workaround with specially created fence and using it instead of General Desktop, but problem that all icons are arranging in fences horizontally, but I need to place new icons vertically to save space on wide monitor.

No idea what else can I do. This post is my last hope.

I have 3.09, is there chance to get 3.10 beta? Maybe it will work properly. Or maybe I can set main display for Fences in registry.

Thank you.

I tried this and it didn't help either. Seems PrimaryMonitorLast is not working at all. It was correct initially, but even if I'm changing to DISPLAY2 etc. - it keep saving on same wrong monitor. Any other ideas?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Fences 3.10 should be able to handle this better.  You can subscribe to it or wait until its general release (will not be too long).

Hello,

I tried beta version and the same problem. Is there any option to assign particular display? Obviously Fences can't determine main display properly.

That is really not the case... Windows has a 'problem' keeping the names of monitors consistent.  This is not new:

I got the impression that Fences chooses the first free desktop space it can find first on the horizontal axis. This means I also get the new icons on the "wrong" monitor because I have fences all along the top of the main monitor. If we could get the option to change this behavior to look horizontally instead the issue would be fixed for me and perhaps others as well?
