Stardock reregister problem

Hello, I'm started to have a issue where once a week I have to reregister all my keys again. This has happened more on start10 but it has happened on the other Stardock products I use  as well.

Are you an Object Desktop subscriber ? is your subscription current ?

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

For Start10, when it is prompting you to activate, if you go here:

C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Start10

Note, that is ProgramData, not Program Files.  If you do not see programData, enable it:

Do you have a License.sig there?  If not, and you activate, does it then?

If it asks you again - sometime later as it has - is it then missing again?

If so, I would like to know if your AV app is quarantining it.

Hello, I'm not on a subscription. I get the keys from Stardock download section under profile.

Hello , This morning DeskScapes and ObjectDock asked me to register again. 

Start10 does have the License.sig because I registered yesterday.

ObjectDock is missing the License.sig but was working yesterday.

DeskScapes is missing the License.sig but was working yesterday.

I also have other Stardock products but am not using them.

Then something is removing them and I can't help but believe it is an AV \ Malware app that is doing it - we have seen it before.

Have you reviewed the logs to see if that is the case?

I would also like you to PM the saslog.txt from here please:

\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Local\Stardock\Fences3

\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Local\Stardock\DeskScapes

Where 'YourAccountName' is your Windows account you are under.

Start10 & Deskscapes & Objectdock just poped up the enter product key again.

They have been working ok all day at 18:08:11

My suspicion is that the license.sig file(s) keep getting deleted.   We are trying to track this but its hard to when we cannot see the computer at all times.  I suspect the file is getting deleted when the computer is rebooted.  Here are times to check to see if the license file exists.

After Reboot

When you are prompted to re-activate.

Could you do a few reboot tests to see if that theory appears to be true?

When the reregister happened this last time my computer was running all day maybe 6 hours. I used the start10 icon maybe 10 times in that span. I was going to shutdown the computer for the day. When I clicked the start10 icon and the reregister box popped up again . Then Deskscapes and ObjectDock.

I did 5 restarts its still working ok.

I will write something to monitor those files. Then run my virus software's and cleaners that I use and see if is deleted by those.

The next time the reregister box pops up, if your licenses.sig file still exists, could you send it to me.  I will give you my email in a pm.

Also, let me know the date and time it occurred along with your Timezone.  That can help me look through our logs to see if there is anything on our end.

Also, are you running any software like AVG Tuneup that will auto clear cache files and etc?  We have had reports that AVG Tuneup's recent update is deleting the license files for our software.

I do use AVG Tuneup.

This morning when I booted my computer and my file check was just starting the licenses.sig for start10, Deskscapes ,ObjectDock, were already gone . In my log TuneupUI#3, TuneupSvc ,MBAMService, Samsung_Magician_installer was doing something.

I'm thinking of just making my Stardock sig checker just put the file back if it Vanished and it will still let me know when it happens.

I ran Avast Cleanup Premium. It did remove the all Stardock .sig files and all the reactivations popups happened.
