Group 1.47 / Chrome 88 / Win 19041.804 - Chrome pages in app mode do not not launch grouped

Hi,

I've read / tried this https://forums.stardock.com/496300/saved-group-open-multiple-sites-in-chrome-in-app-mode

And manually changed syntax per Reply #3

And ensured chrome.exe is not running using Task Manager, before launching the .groupy file

And ensured that Chrome's “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed” is disabled

However I still get the behaviour per https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/2019-07-30_09-42-23.mp4

The .groupy file contains:

[Group]

GroupCount=7

Is there a syntax problem with the .groupy file?

Hi, does that mean that it's not possible to launch multiple Chrome windows in group mode with Groupy?

As mentioned I've already disabled Chrome from running in background, and tested after closing all Chrome windows and ensuring no processes are left running using taskmgr. I have even tried after clean reboot. However I cannot get these windows to group on launch.

The implication of the thread link you provided (https://forums.stardock.com/502949/page/1/#3795633) is that grouping of web apps (meaning web sites launched in windowed mode) will only work for the first Chrome app launched, and that other apps will need to be launched using a different browser. Is that correct?

As you'll see from the .groupy file I provided, all 7 of my apps are Chrome apps, each with a unique app-id. We don't use Edge at all, so I'm hoping Groupy can be made to work with Chrome.

Right now launching the .groupy file will launch 7 individual Chrome app windows, and they will not be grouped. However I can group them afterwards, so it's not a technology issue of being unable to group Chrome app windows, it appears to be a Groupy issue of not being able to group Chrome app windows on launch.

Can you provide any other options?

Cheers,

Andrew
